The fourth year: 2015

  • In 2015, the Bike To Work event attracted 504 bikers in 126 teams !
  • The bike parade from restaurant 1 to restaurant 2 was again a big succes. Phots can be found here

The third year: 2014

  • In 2014, the Bike To Work event attracted 388 bikers in 97 teams !

The second year: 2013

  • In 2013, the Bike To Work event attracted 424 bikers in 106 teams!
  • On Wednesday, 26th June 2013, the participants gathered for a bike parade, cycling from restaurant 2 to restaurant 1 to show their “critical mass”.

The first year: 2012

  • In the framework of the health campaign “Move more & Eat better” organised by the Medical Service, CERN has joined the Swiss​ national Bike2CERN challenge in 2012 for the first time. It has been officially announced in the Weekly Bulletin and attracted about 316 participants.
  • ​Throughout the month of June, 79 teams cycled together 4163 days, which gives a monthly average use of 74%.They totalled 58.423 km and as a result saved an equivalent of 9348 kg CO2.
