How to get a bike at CERN and in the region
If you need a bike, you can either rent/borrow or buy one. Several options are available:
Rental

SCE department has Bike rental service available to members of the personnel. - in Geneva
If you need a bike for a short period, the association Genève roule has a free loan of bicycles. During the summer period, one can get a bike for free for max. 4 hours. Any additional hour is charged 2 CHF. If you need a bicycle for a longer period, the same association has a bike rental service.
Purchasing
- Second hand bikes
Pro-Vélo Geneva organises several times per year a bike market where private persons can sell and buy second hand bicycles. - New bikes
You can buy a new bike in one of the many sport or bike shops in Geneva and the region. To find retailers, make a specific search in Google for example.
